Who is the anti-riding law for?
About four months before the general election, the Tada Prohibition Act passed the plenary session of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee. To those who pushed for this bill, Tada would be a service of no value. However, this is not the case for all Tada users.
Tada is a meaningful service in the daily lives of all of us who have forgotten the natural right of ‘basic mobility’, for tired office workers, parents with children going to and from school, sons and daughters traveling with their parents, dog/cat owners visiting the hospital with their pets, the disabled and the transportation vulnerable over the age of 65.
Tada's goal is not to compete with taxis. Tada's goal is to provide new choices as a means of transportation and to reduce the number of car owners by 20 million. It is very unfortunate that the current situation is encouraging confrontation with taxis and politically consuming Tada.
If the Tada ban is passed, Tada can no longer exist. 1.5 million users will no longer be able to use Tada, and over 10,000 drivers will lose their jobs.
Tada has been working hard for a year to protect the obvious yet difficult value of ‘the basics of mobility,’ and within a year, the Tada ban came into effect, making the future of the service uncertain. In the meantime, Tada has continuously explained and persuaded government officials about the problems with the bill that did not consider consumer convenience. Nevertheless, the Tada ban law passed the plenary session of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee.
Many Tada users voiced their support for Tada through SNS, emails, app reviews, customer service centers, and even through the Blue House national petition. Furthermore, a request was made to gather opinions from numerous users who also use Tada. Now, please join Tada in supporting the convenience of consumers and the improvement of their daily lives. Please let us know that there are many users moving to Tada with a simple statement of support.
